Five Star Foal Raising Program
We believe in a hands on approach in raising our foals to ensure youngsters grow to be confident, well adjusted, and very people friendly. Our foals are lovingly handled from birth. Gentle sensory touch is performed at birth including touching the ears, nose, legs, tail, etc. so that baby never fears human touch or handling. Mare and foal are handled twice daily. At night they are stalled in an extra large foaling stall and monitored by camera to ensure safety of the foal. In the mornings, mare and foal are haltered and turned out to pasture for the day. We prefer to time our foals birth in the early spring so that baby can frolic in mild temperatures and graze on green grass. Our mare and foal pasture is sloped so that baby can strengthen and play on varied terrain, ensuring good balancing skills. The foal is groomed every other day, feet are picked out, soles tapped to mimic future farrier sessions, and the legs and feather is "scrubbed" to help baby become accustomed to feather washing and maintenance. Foals learn to be bathed slowly by first watching mom get bathed and pampered. Bathing is slowly introduced as a fun game for baby, ensuring a positive experience. New learning sessions and experiences are introduced as baby grows. The baby is body clipped, a fly mask is introduced, and the foal is lead over and through small obstacles. Early trailer loading sessions with mom and eventually taking short trailer rides are also part of baby's early learning experiences. The result of this program ensures the foal has had a solid start on it's life journey and will be a willing loving partner for it's new owner.

SOLD BY PRIVATE TREATY! Congratulations to Carrie Arbuckle on her purchase of Finian's Rainbow!
Finian’s Rainbow
(Flynt Hylls Gypsy Sherman T x Aisling Laura)
“Finian” is a STUNNING 8 year old black and white piebald performance Gypsy Vanner horse. At just under 16 hands tall, he is large sized Gypsy with two beautiful blue eyes! He is registered with the Gypsy Vanner Horse Society (GV03964P) and the Gypsy Horse Association (GHA00847)
Finian has been trained with a correct dressage foundation by a professional for the last 4 years. He has been in a parade, attended the CA Western States Horse Expo as a demo horse, and won multiple Championships in various Gypsy breed shows and disciplines since his first show debut in 2014. He has been shown in halter classes, English, Western, and both Western and Dressage Suitability classes. He has won several over-all performance Championships in four Gypsy breed shows in Northern and Southern CA.
In 2015 Finian placed 8th in the GVHS National Gypsy Vanner Advantage Award Program and received his honorable mention for the 2015 Highpoint performance division. He also won the 2015CGHC Performance Highpoint of the Year.
In 2016, he was shown in schooling Dressage shows, and a USDF rated Dressage show at training level winning his classes with 67% & 68%. He has his USDF lifetime horse registration.
In 2017 Finian switched disciplines to Western Dressage and achieved all scores in the low 70’s-mid 80%’s! He was the California Western Dressage State Basic Level High Point Champion was the California State Western Dressage Open High Point Reserve Champion.
Finian is now competitive at First Level and schooling Second Level Western Dressage. He is sound, has a SUPER easy and comfortable trot/jog to sit, a lovely uphill canter/lope, wonderful leg yields, turn on the haunches/forehand. He is best suited for a rider with an educated seat as he is a bit lazy, has lots of fine-tuned and fun training buttons. He is sadly for sale because I have two upcoming young horses and feel he should have an owner who can give him the love and attention he deserves. He turns heads everywhere he goes!
He is great on trails, for the farrier, loading, cross ties, always up to date on dental and vaccinations. Finian will be a wonderful and fun horse for the lucky person who bonds with him! Additional photos & video available upon request.
